I've purchased the Smart car and 2008 against everybody that I know and their wishes they advised me how unsafe they were they advised me on how expensive they were they also said things like where's the other half of the car the list goes on and on just foolishness I did all of my homework and all of my research and they are one of the safest little cars on the road they were quality for the most part they have issues but so do other cars I finally had to spend $6,450 on repairs this year but considering it is an 08 and this is 2025 that's not too bad the only other repairs I've done over all of those years is general maintenance nothing major I love the car it's really unfortunate that our society tells us that bigger is better and that we need to eat more gas in order to be bigger better and stronger I don't agree I think we can do a lot better and I think smart was on the right path it's unfortunately that they've canceled it. One thing I will say is that shame on Mercedes for treating me like second class citizen when I came in with a smart car and not driving one of their Mercedes-Benz it's unfortunate I think they should have had their own separate dealership and tell Mercedes where to go I will never buy another Mercedes again I will always buy smart unfortunately I can't do either one now I will continue to keep my car and maybe one day they'll bury me in it I love it that much I will not part with my little girl ever my second car I own is very unique as well it's a 1951 meteor made exclusively in Canada I love it so much
